Windows 10: Internet Ip Config

After changing ip address on a computer to match with another computer on the internet by mistake, computer connects to wifi but cannot access internet. Trying to reset ip address causes media disconnected issue. How can I reset the ip for internet access?

• What happens when you perform a System Restore?
• 
  Is your computer up to date with Windows Updates? Press
  Windows logo key + R, type winver and hit
  Enter key. Now see the version and build details.
  

Since you tried performing a System Restore, but the problem still persist. Suggest you to check with the below troubleshooting steps and see if they work.

Method 1:

Use the Ipconfig command-line to release and renew network connection

a) Press Windows key + X, select
Command Prompt(Admin)

b) Type the following commands and press Enter after each command:

ipconfig /flushdns

-Erases the contents.

ipconfig /registerdns

-Updates DNS settings on the Windows computer.

ipconfig /release

-Terminates any active TCP/IP connections on all network adapters and releases those IP addresses for use by other applications.

ipconfig /renew

-Re-establishes TCP/IP connections on all network adapters.

Now see if it fix the issue after executing these steps.

Method 2:

If the above method doesn't fix the issue, then try to setup another User Profile.
Suggest you to try setting up another User Profile to see if it makes any difference.

Once you set up another User Profile, check and see if the same thing happens there.

IP address cannot be configured no internet

1. Are you getting any error code while trying to connect to internet?
   

I would like to suggest you few simple steps on how to configure IP address on your PC, kindly follow the same.

Method 1: Open command prompt (right click on cmd, run as administrator) and run the below commands. These commands will fix the lack of dynamic IP address (DHCP).

• ipconfig /release
  
• ipconfig /renew
  

Method 2: Go through the article which talks about fixing the network connection issues in Windows

Hardwire and Wifi access point saying "Doesn't have a valid IP config"

I've seen this error before in my lifetime. But this issue, I've not been able to resolve. I've tried the steps 1-4 here. It's our newest model a dell 5490. I AM able to connect to the visitor network wirelessly on site. But both the wired and wireless access points say "no internet" Running the network troubleshooter gives me the Doesn't have a valid IP Config error. Any ideas?
