Windows 10: Windows 11 Photo Editor not saving photo edits and I'm exhausted trying to find a solution

Hi, My issue is that my updated Windows 11 photo editor is not accepting edits I make to photos. I have tried/checked:uninstalling and reinstalling the photo programchecking my photos properties -- they are not read onlychecking for windows updates - I am up to dateNothing has worked and I no longer know what to do. I primarily use this software to edit photos for my small business for my blog and social media and they are basic edits. I usually use one filter, adjust it down, then brighten the photo, and adjust the contrast and exposure.Now, I know this is going to sound crazy. But what I'm s

Issues with Microsoft photo editor

2. Are you aware of any changes made on your computer recently?
   
3. What exactly happen when you try to use the Photo editor?
   
4. Which version of Windows are you currently using?
   

I understand you are facing issues with Photo editor application, if you are using the Photo editor app which is downloaded from Microsoft Store, I suggest you to refer the following article and try few troubleshooting
steps to fix issues with Photo editor
and check if that helps.

Microsoft has replaced Photo Editor with Microsoft Office Picture Manager, a new photo editing and cataloging program in Office 2010, in Office 2007, and in Office 2003.

If the application has been removed from your PC, when you install Microsoft Office 2010, Microsoft Office 2007, or Microsoft Office 2003, I suggest you to refer the following article to reinstall

Photo Editor and check if that helps.

editing photo using Microsoft Paint Photo Editor

  Are you referring to Microsoft Paint?
  
• 
  Have you tried saving the photos after editing?
  

As a work around I suggest you to use Photo app for editing and check if the issue persist.

• What specific photo editor are you using?
  
• Have you tried using a different photo editor to replicate what's happening, or if there's a device with the same Windows that uses the same photo editor that experiences the concern?
  
• Can you provide us an image of a photo that was edited using the that photo editor?
