  2. Disable automatics updates

    Hi MelissaRobinson3.

My name is Douglas and I am an Independent Advisor.

I would like to help you.

You can try to disable automatic updates starting from the point that automatic updates behave like any service. Follow these steps:

    * Press the Windows + R key, type services.msc in the execution bar and press the Enter key.

    * In the list of processes locate the Windows Update and open it by clicking on it.

    * To disable it, in the General tab, look for the field "Type of start" and change it to "Disabled".

    * Restart the PC and the automatic updates will have gone down in history.

If at any time you want to activate them again, simply follow these steps again and change the startup type to "Automatic".

How to disable the upgrade Windows 11 link opened automatically at start up?

Links dont open in IE 11 on Win10

    Hi,

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community. I will surely help you.

To understand the issue better, let me know if the issue occurs only on Outlook?

This issue could have occurred due to these reasons:

    • Incorrect Internet Explorer settings.

    • Conflict between third party applications.

    • Conflict between browser add-ons.
Try the steps listed here and check if it helps:

    Method 1:

I suggest you to disable browser add-ons and check the issue is caused due to any browser add-ons. Check if it helps.

    Manage add-ons in Internet Explorer

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/internet-explorer/manage-add-ons#ie=ie-11

    Method 2:

If the issue persists, I suggest you to boot the computer to Safe Mode with Networking and check if the issue persists or not. If the issue does not occur in Safe Mode with Networking, you may set the computer in
a clean boot and check if it helps.

    Step 1
    :

Boot the computer into safe mode with Networking. In Safe Mode
    with Networking computer starts
with minimal set of drivers and files.

Windows Startup Settings (including safe mode)

If the issue does not occur in safe mode with Networking you may try step 2:

    Step 2:

Set the computer in a Clean Boot state. Setting the system in a clean boot state will help to identify if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue.

Note: After clean boot troubleshooting steps, refer to the section "How to reset the computer to start as usual after troubleshooting with clean boot"
in the provided link to return your computer to Normal startup mode.

    Method 3:

If the issue persists, I suggest you to try the steps under the section “Pages aren't displaying correctly or appear blank
Pages aren't displaying correctly or appear blank” in the following article and check if it helps.

What to do when Internet Explorer isn't working

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/ie-crashes-stops-working#ie=ie-11

Note: Please note that running Reset Internet Explorer Settings will reset all user-defined settings including those set by installed extensions, toolbars and other add-ons to IE
Defaults. This includes all Security, Privacy and Zone settings. Also this will clear browsing history, delete all temporary Internet Files, cookies, form data and especially all stored passwords.

Hope this information helps. Reply to the post with updated status of the issue so that we can assist you further.
