Windows 10: Cant login after update

Tried logging in after windows update. I did not set up a Pin for my device. Tried Sign in options to login using password. Prompt says password incorrect. tried resetting the password on microsoft.com . Tried logging in still says incorrect password. Tried restarting to boot on safe mode. Bitlocker key needed but I do not have the key. I didnt even set it up but it is there. checked on BIOS TPM 2.0 is enabled. Secure boot is enabled. tried disabling. Not going to sign in page goes directly to bitlocker. re enabled it goes to sign in but cant login using password. device is a dell.laptop. is t

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to select the appropriate language in login screen at the bottom right corner and check if it helps.

Steps 2: Use On-screen keyboard in the login screen to login and check if it helps.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

OSK PIN login on non-touch device

I suggest you to create a PIN for your device and try the on screen keyboard to login to the same.

You may follow the steps below to create PIN protection for your device.

  Go to Settings and select account.
  
• 
  Click on sign in option and Go to PIN option.
  
• 
  Now click on Add and set PIN for login.
  

You can use the same PIN to login to your device using the on screen Keyboard from ease of access option and verify the result.
