Windows 10: Purchased 11 Pro upgrade MS Store, cannot activate / Product cannot be found

We purchased a new PC, it came with Home and we needed to upgrade to Pro, 11Pro was purchased through the Microsoft store.1st issue - We received the confirmation email attached of the purchase, and when we click on the item we get a message saying the product cannot be found.2nd - Somehow one of my colleague's got this machine to 11 Enterprise instead of 11 pro. I see that i should be able to plugin a key and easily change that to 11 pro, however the purchase process from the MS store does not provide a key... and well it's not even working to begin with.

As a final attempt, I followed the last article you sent where downgrading Enterprise to Pro simply meant re-entering the Generic Pro Key again. And it worked! +reps for you <3

In summary, here was the rundown of events in case someone else can find this useful:

1. Buy Win Pro 10/11 digital licence from Microsoft Store app (no product key, licence bound to MS account)
2. 'Buy' button becomes 'Install' in MS Store, click Install (this will result to an error code, do not panic)
3. Reboot device (let Windows updates finish during reboot)
4. Windows magically reboots to a de-activated Win 10 Enterprise (do not panic)
5. Change product key into generic Win 10 Pro key: VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T (this effectively downgrades the 'stray' Enterprise to Pro)

Hello guys,

My laptop came pre-installed with Win10 Home 64bit and I recently purchased a Win 10/11 Pro licence from the Microsoft Store app. Unfortunately, having some issues activating the digital licence for Win10 Pro.

Here is the situation:

• Logged into Microsoft account used for the purchase (also received the email receipt of the purchase)
• Already connected to stable internet

What I tried so far:

Entering the Win10 Pro generic key:



Received error 0x800700005:





Clicking Close returned another error 0xC004F034:





Clicking Troubleshoot re-activated my Win10 Home so still not on Pro.

Well that's a bit of a mystery to me. If this was a legit purchase, I suggest you call Microsoft and find out what the issue is. Something doesn't sound quite kosher here. Not saying you've done something wrong, but something doesn't seem right to me.

And I've never bought an OS from the Microsoft Store, but I'd think you'd still be emailed a license key. You might also check your Microsoft Account to see if the key was posted somewhere there.
