Windows 10: Windows Defragment and Optimize Not Working on Second Drive

I have two hard drives on my desktop computer. One has a C and D partition with the OS on the C drive. Windows shows the C drive does not need to be defragmented. I understand that with Windows 10, C drive is automatically defragmented on a regular basis. The second drive has three partitions, G, H, I. I am trying to run a manual defrag on G, which Windows indicates is 17% defragmented. I've tried three times now and it starts the defrag process, shows the elapse time but only runs for a few minutes, then locks up. I tried running a defrag using Norton 360 and that also failed. defrag and optimize drives

When I go to defrag & optimize drives one of the drives that is listed as "needs optimization" (12% fragmented) is listed as //?/Volume(a27a9b76-0000-0000-0000-40d6e5000000)/ Can I or should I ignore this?

Windows Defrag

When running defrag, there is a drive listing for Windows RE Tools. It shows as a solid state drive and that it has never been defragged. It will not optimize. Clicking on it does nothing. Any suggestions?
