  1. PC Not identifying both Headset output and Mic input at the same time

Recently bought a new pc and using an old Sony W1000mx3 Headset with a aux cable and mic. It worked on my old HP Omen. However since moving to this PC i can get either the audio to work, or the mic input. It depends to which port I have plugged into on the front. Previously the earphone port server as a input for the mic aswell with the headset but currently I cant get it to work. I have tried various drivers and updates but made no progress. I am on Windows 11. What should I try?

    :)

  2. Headset, inputting mic and headset jacks through headphone splitter. Not working on this pc, but works on another. (Probably Realtek audio is the issue) Can someone help me resolve the problem?

Would be the same steps. You need to choose the microphone in Input and Headset in Output. All other troubleshooting steps are the same as for headset with mic.

Laptop not splitting headset mic & audio?

    Hi
Simple version. When i plug in my headset to my laptop windows10 is not splitting it into one output and one input.

I fixed this years back by setting the popup box 'whats plugged in' from headphone to headset. Then it split the audio and mic. However i had to reinstall windows and now when i select headset it just mutes my laptop mic and audio manager just shows the one mic, but two audio outputs.

It was working before the reset and i have tested the headset on another computer and it is working find.
So far i tried device manage audio driver install, for both Realtek driver and High Definition driver but either resolve the issue.

Any suggestions why windows would pick up one and not the other?

I currently have it set to headphone plugged in so that i can use my laptop mic, but ive been told i sound really bad *Sad

    Cheers,
    Zola

Output and input audio won't work at the same time on headset

    Hi,

I have headset Superlux HMD-660 which has 2 separated outputs/inputs for mic and headphones. But it's a headset so I want to use both.

On my laptop is only one port with combined audio for input and output so I have this conversion that connets both cables from headset into one combined.

    Thats how it looks.

So I have this plugged into my laptop and only the headphones part of the headset works. But the hardware works correctly, because there is this application SmartAudio, where I can choose what I want to use (headphones/headset/mic). If I choose headphones,
the headphones work and it uses the laptop's build in mic (it's pretty bad). If I choose headset, only headphones work BUT when I record something in Audacity, instead of any microphone input I can hear white noise. If I choose mic, the mic WORKS. But it uses
    laptop's speakers.

    I am confused.

This is UI of the program where i can choose what to use.

    Please help! Thank you.

I am on windows 10 and the laptop is Lenovo G510 (I believe).

(I hope I put this in the right category here)
