  1. Mail and Calendar not working properly in a single user profile

I have an issue with the Mail and Calendar app. It isn't showing up under a single user profile. I can log into a different user profile on the same system and it shows up and works fine, but I am unable to access the app or even see it in add/remove programs under the user profile in question. I have tried resetting it and uninstalling/reinstalling under a domain admin profile with no luck.

    :)

Mail app will not open on 10041.

    Hello Adam,

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. Mail and Calendar not working properly in a single user profile :)

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

    • Open powershell as administrator
    • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
    • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

  3. Mail/Calendar App Not working

    Hi David,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community Forums. We are glad to help you.

I would suggest you to try the below methods and check:

    Method 1:

    • Type Windows Powershell in search box.
    • Right click on Windows Powershell and select
      Run as administrator.
    • Copy and paste the following command.
    get-appxpackage *microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps* | remove-appxpackage

    • Press Enter key.
After uninstalling the Mail app I suggest you to download and install the app again and check.

You can download the Mail app from the following link.

Get $Mail and Calendar from the Microsoft Store

If you are unable to find Mail and Calendar apps on your computer, try this.

Method 2: You may try to create a new user account and check if it fixes the issue. Refer to the steps below to create a new User Account:

    • Go to Start menu and then click on Settings.
    • Choose Accounts and then select Other User Accounts towards the left.
    • Select Add an Account.
    • Enter a user name and press Next.
    • Click on Finish.
    • Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.
    • Check if issue persists.

Hope this information helps. Do contact us for further queries. We will be happy to assist

    Thanks and regards,

    Jenith
