  1. Erratic crashing issue on prebuilt computer

Hi, for around the past year and a half my pc OMEN 30L Desktop - GT13-0024 has had a erratic crashing issue. Specifically it seems the graphics card is crashing. To explain in depth what happens: upon playing some games I will encounter a black screen, my gpu fans will go to 100% however I will still have sound from the pc and can still interact with it other it’s just the gpu that goes. A full restart is required to fix it. HOWEVER! Sometimes upon rebooting the issue will occur again. Sometimes 1-10 minutes after rebooting depending on the game that was playing. Upon a crash I can see with

    all games crash!

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

    Friends computer crashing

Hello, my friends computer keeps crashing when ever he tries to play SC2 ( or anything that involves extensive videocard use) , I think he has a GT280X. I'm not sure if its a heat issue, or damage to the card, or what. Any suggestions on what could be the problem?

  4. Erratic crashing issue on prebuilt computer

Mouse is erratic at upper left corner

    Hello!

    • Were there any changes made on your computer prior to the issue (i.e., updates, software installation)
This has been happening since the Windows 10 update, no issues prior to the Windows 10 update

    • Is this the first time you experienced the issue?
It has occurred non-stop since the Windows 10 upgrade, no issues prior to that upgrade.

    • When did the issue first begin?
    After the Windows 10 update.

    • To make sure we have not missed on anything, what troubleshooting steps have you done so far to resolve this?
I have found a work around by decreasing the resolution on my laptop to be at 1024x768 instead of the recommended 1366x768. I cannot increase resolution from 1024x768 without the mouse being erratic and uncontrollable in the upper left corner .
