    Using the following article, after setting my son to Standard user and myself to Administrator, I hid my admin account assuming I'd never need it again. But i now need to make a registry change to block access to the Microsoft Store.

    How to hide specific user accounts from the sign-in screen on Windows 10 | Windows Central

    Needless-to-say ... the system did what it should and makes it impossible for the Standard User , the only account now visible for login, to modify system settings.

    Problem: I can find no way to login to my hidden Administrator Login.

    I am able to see the SpecialUser key I created in the Registry ... but cannot change the DWord, given that I can only log in via the Standard Account.

    Question: How can i again access my Admin account on login (or otherwise) so I can make settings changes on the computer?

    Hello, how are you?

    My name is Paloma B., I am very happy to be able to try to help you in the best possible way.

    In this case, I suggest that you activate the Windows admin user which by default is disabled.

    That way, you can fix the problem or even unregister to bring your admin back.

    After using it, just deactivate that user again admin.

    I suggest you create a Windows 10 disk for another computer and try to recover your system:

    1. Download the tool according to the Windows 10 architecture installed here:

    https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=691209;

    2. Run the downloaded setup and click Create installation media for another computer;

    3. Select the Language, then select the edition and architecture according to the installed Windows 10;

    4. Connect the Pen Drive;

    5. Click Next;

    6. Select the USB Flash Drive option and click Next.

    7. Click Finish.

    8. Boot with the Pen Drive;

    9. When the installation window appears, click Repair your computer.

    10. Click on Troubleshooting> Advanced Options> Command Prompt> enter your Account and enter the commands:

    net user administrator /active:yes [Enter]

    After that, restart the computer and the login screen should appear the administrator who was activated, click to enter and adjust what you need.

    After that, just disable the default administrator user using the command below in the same path that you enabled using the installation USB.

    net user administrator /active:no [Enter]

    I await news.

    If these procedures helped you in any way, please click on "I solved my problem" and also mark as an answer, so you can help others users.

    We will always be available for whatever you need!

    Hide other user name from login screen

    I have my user account which is connected with ms account which shows my email along with my user name on login screen. I made one more admin account without ms account and made it a default user with password. Now on login screen on left side both my accounts show up. Is there way to hide my original account from this login screen because I do not want anyone sitting with me could know my email as this account shows my email along with user name.
