Is there any way to save window position on program launch?

Hey!I think the best way for me to explain what I want to do and what I need help with is through an example.Let's say you are running Chrome and you are running Mozilla at the same time.Using Aero Snap you can divide your screen to 50% left side and 50% right side and let's say you put Chrome on your left side.Is there any way to keep the position of Chrome window even when I close the program? Could I keep my crumb on the left side automatically by launching application next time?Is there any program which would help with this?I'm trying to make some presets in order to have certain programs

    :)

    Save Window Position

    Hi Shane,

Saving the window size/position when opening a message to a new window is easy. Simply follow the steps below on how to do so:

    • Open a message in a new window.
    • Press and hold the Ctrl button on your keyboard and click on the
X button at upper right corner of the window to close it.
    • When you open a message in another window, the size/position of the window should be saved.
If you have other questions, do let us know.

  3. Saving windows position

    Hi Christoffer,

I've tried to replicate what you want to achieve. I tested a few Windows apps (Weather app, Paint app, and Skype app) and I was able to set the size and the position of each app. When I close and open an app, it opens right where I placed its floating window.
    You may follow these steps:

    1. Open an app or a program.
    2. Resize its window according to your preferrence.
    3. Right-click on the upper-left hand corner of the app or program window, then click
Size to lock the window size.
    4. Move the window to your desired position.
    5. Right-click again on the upper-left hand corner of the app or program window, then click
      Move to lock its position.
    6. Close the app or program and then relaunch it.

Please let me know how it goes for you so I'll be able to further check on this in case the above steps won't help.

    Regards.

    Hi thmu80p,

Sorry for the inconvenience, I would suggest to run Troubleshooting. Follow these steps.

    - Click on the "Search box" on the taskbar, then type Control Panel.

    - Click on Control Panel.

    - Click on Troubleshooting.

    - On the left pane, click on view all.

-From the list, click on Hardware and Devices and run the troubleshooter.

Next, try to perform Windows Clean Boot. Clean boot means starting up your operating system with only those drivers and startup programs that are essential for it to function.

    - Type cmd (Command Prompt)

    - Right click on Command Prompt from the search results list.

    - When Command Prompt launches, type the command: sfc /scannow

Also, perform DISM tools. DISM can be used to service and prepare Windows images. Follow these steps.

    - Click on "Search" from the taskbar

    - Type cmd (Command Prompt)

    - Right click on Command Prompt from the search results list.

    - Click Run as administrator.

    - When Command Prompt launches, type the command below. Enter each of the command:

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    Hope it will help.

    Thank you.
