Windows 10: My Sony Vaio running Windows XP will not bootup. Can you help?

I have a very old Sony Vaio PC that runs windows xp. I started it up and was able to download about 100 songs to a thumb drive. Then it started to take a dump. Now the computer cannot get passed the Windows XP splash screen. I would like to transfer the remaining music files MP3 to my thumb drive. I have already looked at the BIOS and didn't find anything amiss. I have tried to start it up in Safe Mode, but could not get past the menu. Does anyone have a recommend solution?Zane

The cam is intergraded and the laptop is a SONY VAIO VGN-NW20SF
as suggested I checked for updates and they only exist for windows 7, vista and XP, if I recall, certainly not for windows 10.

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Windows 10 Driver Updates for Sony VAIO Still Nowhere to Be Found


For my case (Sony VAIO Tap 11)... it is there in the list of models.

... but it turns out i don't need that upgrade 'driver' anyway. The special 'upgrade' mode did nothing to my machine prior to the actual upgrade, and after completing the upgrade it merely installed one single update (to Sony Control Center I believe) that can be downloaded anyway from Sony's website. Working like a charm now running on Win10 (except for a few Intel display driver problems which are not specific to VAIO the way I understand it)
