  2. Unknown Constant RAM Usage

    Hi,

To explore more on RAM usage by processes and see in-depth I advise you to open the Resource monitor, please follow the below steps.

    Step 1 :

    Open Task Manager

    Step 2:

    Click on Performance

    Step 3:

At the bottom click on Open Resource Monitor

    Step 4:

Under Resource Monitor windows click on Memory

    Step 5:

Click on Working Set to list the top process utilizing the more RAM and then evaluate RAM usage.

  3. RAM usage

    Yes, it looks normal.

And no, Chrome is not much of a better choice than Edge, both use equal amounts of RAM but Edge provides the best protection.

You can turn ON Eco mode for Edge from the 3-dot menu button > Performance > turn ON the toggle. But for some users, it may use more RAM (exactly the opposite of what's it's supposed to do LOL).

Uninstall all unnecessary extensions, those are also background processes in Windows which usually takes a lot of RAM.

And in my case of Edge using more RAM, I had turned on Startup boost which contributed to more RAM usage, but after I disabled it, the system's been stable. You can try these suggestions.
