Windows 10: Windows 11 Pro, can't turn on real-time protection

Hi folks,For the last couple of days, real-time protection on my Win 11 machine is turned off and whenever I try to turn it on it goes back to the off toggle. There's a text in red that says "You're using other antivirus providers", but I have never installed any third-party anti-virus on this machine. I did install Proton VPN for a few days but uninstalled it last week, it didn't affect the real-time protection. I've tried basic troubleshooting I found online but didn't work for me.Any help would be much appreciated.

I’m not sure what’s going on there, but you might want to run some scans in order to make sure that malware hasn’t assumed the role of administrator and turned off Defender’s real-time protection with Group Policy:

Then you can use these REG commands to toggle the Group Policy setting for Windows Defender’s real-time protection.

Click on the Start button and select Windows Powershell (Admin) and then copy, paste, and enter the command:

Turn off Windows Defender’s real-time protection:

REG ADD "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Real-Time Protection" /v DisableRealtimeMonitoring /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f

Turn on Windows Defender’s real-time protection:

REG DELETE "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Real-Time Protection" /v DisableRealtimeMonitoring
