Windows 10: How do I reset my Local Computer Password?

I am trying to change my password to my computer. So I go to settings > accoutns > sign-in options > passwords > change. It asks me to enter a password and when I enter the one for my microsoft email it says incorrect passoword. I assume that I created a local password stored in the computer when I first installed windows which I do not rememeber. How do I reset this password without knowing the password?

you can’t recover it. Instead, you’ll need to reset your PC

Warning: Following these steps will remove all of your data, programs, and settings.

• Start your PC and select the Power icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the lock screen.
• While holding down the Shift key, select Restart.
• On the Boot options menu, select Troubleshoot > Reset this PC > Remove everything.
• Your PC will restart and will reset itself.
