Windows 10: Windows 10 Wi-Fi Capability turned off on desktop PC

I’m having trouble connecting to Wi-Fi on my desktop. Haven’t ever had issues before and I know it is not my Wi-Fi at fault as I’m connected to it on all my other devices. When I try to turn Wi-Fi on it spins for a bit and then automatically switches off. When I run the network troubleshooter it tells me to “Use the switch on the front or side of the computer, or function keys if available, to enable wireless capability.” I don’t have a switch on my computer nor a keyboard with functions to disable or enable network capability. Update: OPTION FOUR

Starting with Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14946, Microsoft has added a new setting to the Wi-Fi settings page. When you go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi on your PC, then turn Wi-Fi off, you can now select a time under Turn Wi-Fi back on to have it turn on automatically after the amount of time you choose. It’s set to Manually by default in this build.

I suggest you to run the below troubleshooter and check.

Run the build-in network troubleshooter

Follow the steps:

• 
  Type Troubleshooting in the Search box from the desktop.
  
• 
  Select the Troubleshooting option.
  
• 
  Select View All option and select the Network Adapter.
  
• 
  Click on Next to perform the Network Adapter troubleshooter and follow the steps.
  

Note:

Airplane mode is a setting that gives you a quick way to turn off all wireless communication that are already enabled on your PC. Once you turn on Airplane mode, you can turn an individual Wi-Fi connection ON even in Airplane mode. This disable all other
connection except the enabled Wi-Fi connection. This is not a bug/problem as this was also available in Windows 8.1. I suggest you to refer

I would suggest you to follow the methods below:

Method 1: Run the Hardware and Device troubleshooter by following the steps below:

• Click on the Start button, and type “Troubleshooting” on the search bar.
• Click on troubleshooting, then click on “Hardware and sound”.
• Under Hardware and sound, click on “hardware and devices”.
• A pop-up will appear, click on the “Next” button and your hardware troubleshooting will start.

Method 2: The issue may occur if the drivers for Wi-fi are not installed or updated. I suggest you to install/update the latest version for Wi-fi drivers by following the steps below.

• Press ‘windows key + R’ and type ‘devmgmt.msc’ and press Enter.
• Expand ‘Network adapter’ and right click on Wi-fi driver and select update.
