  1. Windows 11 Taskbar requires multiple clicks to bring up window

In Windows 11, taskbar has extremely small click-drag action distance detection. Just 3 pixels. If you press button down and then move the cursor further than 3px before pressing up, the desired input action click is simply ignored - discarded. In Windows 10, this wasn't the case. The input action would always register as click on button release regardless of how far you were from the button press down location, as long as you did not move a taskbar icon far enough rearrange taskbar icon order. For right mouse button click, the distance detection wasn't there at all. This is also inconsiste

  2. Windows 11 Taskbar requires multiple clicks to bring up window

Sometimes when I have a opened window that is hidden behind other applications and I try to click the application icon on the taskbar to bring it to the front, the background of the icon on the taskbar will just turn orange/red and just do nothing. I need to click it like 3-5 times to get the window to be brought to the front.

I didn't had this problem during Windows 11 Beta and the early stages after the first stable release of Windows 11. This problem has been happening for months and it is making Windows 11 a pain to work on.

Am I the only one having this issue?

    4) If that doesn't fix it then you can do a Windows 11 Repair Upgrade which reinstalls Windows while saving your files and apps in place, brings it up to the latest version by the most stable method, takes about an hour and resolves most problems: https://www.elevenforum.com/t/repair-install-wi...

Feel free to ask back any questions. If you'll report back results for each step it can help determine what else needs to be tried. I will stick with you until it is fixed.

Windows 11 Taskbar requires multiple clicks to bring up window

    Hi,

    Thank you for your reply.

I checked few of the links you shared. All of the links are providing solution when the task bar is not working in its entirety. But the problem explained about is not about the task bar not working at all. It works normally as expected.

Except for, say when you have quite a few windows opened. And you want to switch between them, and when you click on taskbar, it just changes color, as if it is busy, but the window switch never happens. You have to keep clicking on same window 5-6 times for the required window to be brought to foreground.

It happens regularly with me across multiple devices running windows 11. I am guessing this is a issue. Hopefully is reported by many people to Microsoft and an fix is on its way, because it becomes annoying when you are engrossed in work and the window switch doesn't happen.
