Windows 10: Minecraft Launcher says "Windows cannot access this file."

I recently was gifted Minecraft, and when I downloaded the Minecraft Launcher and tried to open it I was given the error. "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."I have also tried running as an administrator, which also did not succeed.And Microsoft Store kept not allowing me to log in.

Problem with the minecraft launcher.

There are many reasons why you can't log in to Minecraft Launcher, but all of them are due to Microsoft Store and related services. I will provide several methods to try to solve this problem, please refer to the following steps for operation:

• Clear the cache on Microsoft Store.
  

1. Press the Windows logo key + R, type wsreset.exe, and select OK.
   
2. After a few seconds a blank command prompt window will appear, which will disappear after about ten seconds and the Microsoft Store will open automatically.This means the cache was cleared successfully.
   

• Make sure you're using the Microsoft Store Install Service.
  

1. Services.msc can be found by pressing Windows Key + S and typing services.msc.
   
2. Locate and double-click the Microsoft Store Install Service; if the status is Running, right-click it and select Restart.
   
3. Change it to Automatic if it's disabled, then click Start and OK.
   

• Reinstall the Microsoft Store app
  

1. Press Windows key + X
   
   Click and Run Windows PowerShell(run as Administrator)Copy and paste the command below then hit Enter:
   
   

• Reinstall the Minecraft Launcher
  

1. Click Start >Settings >Apps，find "Minecraft Launcher" in all apps.
   
2. Click on the "Minecraft Launcher" Advanced options >Uninstall the application.
   
3. Open the Microsoft Store, search for "Minecraft Launcher", download and install it again, and log in to your account to see if it works.

Minecraft Launcher Crahed saying Pixel-Format-Not-Accelerated in Windows 10

Hi, I just joined this Community. My minecraft launcher is always crashing when I hit play. I just Upgraded my PC to Windows 10 from 7. In Windows 7, my minecraft launcher used to work. But as I upgraded to Windows 10, it keeps crashing. It says that Pixel-Format-Not-accelerated
and it also says that no OpenGL was found. I did some searching in the web and found that old graphics cards (like my one: Intel HD Graphics 2100 3.1.0 Ghz) does not support Direct X 12. But Minecraft can run on older versios of Direct X. I have Direct X 11.1.
The gamee worked on Windows 7 but it does not work in Windows 10. Can anyone please help me out or give me any suggestions?

 

Minecraft for Windows not available on the Minecraft Launcher

I've already downloaded and installed Minecraft for Windows from the Microsoft Store.

I've also opened it (not from the Minecraft Launcher) and logged in to my Microsoft Account (the same one I'm using on my Minecraft Launcher).

The game works perfectly fine. However, if I try to open the official Minecraft Launcher, the game is still marked as incompatible and it won't let me launch the game from there.

I know I could just launch it without the Minecraft Launcher, but it'd be nice to be able to launch it from the Minecraft Launcher just like I would do it with Minecraft Java Edition.

Is there a way to fix this?
