Hi,I have a two LUNs supported SD Card Reader. The issue arises when I remove one of the SD card from the Card Reader slot it disappears from the Windows File Explorer but when “Hidden Items” option is enabled, we can see that SD Card drive is mounted, and Files are visible. However, any operation done on files in SD Card drive will fail with an error. We have also observed this same issue from another manufacturer on a generic Dual supported LUN microSD/MMC card reader.Steps To Reproduce Issue:Connect Dual supported LUNs SD Reader to Windows 10/11.Open Windows File Explorer and enable to view

    Hidden files not behaving properly

Sorry for the delay in responding; I had to deal with some other things along the way!

I ran Step 5 and got this:

Removable Drive Doesn't Unmount Properly When Hidden Items Option Enabled on Windows File... 286323d1593745170t-hidden-files-not-behaving-properly-dism-step-5.jpg

Then I restarted Windows. When I got back into my folder, it looked the same as before and the hidden file was still invisible but this time, when I went into Folder Options, the "don't show hidden files, folders and drives" radio button was selected. I simply clicked the "show hidden files, folders and drives" radio button, clicked on Apply and my hidden file finally reappeared!

Thanks for your help with this!!

I'm still curious about why this functionality broke suddenly but I've got lots of other things on my plate so I think I'll get back to them.

    Thanks again!

Windows doesn`t start. Authomatic repair doesn`t work.

    Thanks again!!

I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

I ran SeaTools. These are the results:

Does it mean my HDD is useless?

    Hi,

Thank you for the update and I apologize for the late response.

I appreciate if you could answer few questions to narrow down to the issue.

    • How exactly you are trying to unmount the drive. Is it through Command prompt or from Disk management?

    • What exactly happens when you try to unmount?

    • Did you receive any error message while trying to unmount?
I suggest you to try the steps given below and check if it helps.

Please close all the Windows before trying the steps.

    • Open Disk management.

    • Right-click the mounted drive that you want to remove, and then click
      Change Drive Letter and Paths.

    • Click Remove, and then click Yes.
Hope the information helps. Let us know if you need further assistance. We will be happy to help.

    Thank you.
