Windows 10: Unable to response to crtl alt del after waking up from Sleep in Windows 10

Could you tell me the reason why I constantly have problem with my PC being unresponsive to crtl alt del after waking up from sleep. Despite I have already update BIOS firmware and checked system integrity with "SFC /Scannow"., I still have the aforementioned problem. Thanks Appreciated

Thank you for posting your reply. Apologize for the delay in response.

I suggest you to check which devices are configured to wake up the computer from sleep by following the steps below:

• Right click on Start icon and select Command Prompt (Admin).
• Type the command line below:

Powercfg /devicequery wake_armed

3. Check if the devices (Keyboard, Mouse, Ethernet cable) are listed.

If the system is not going to sleep and going to Hybernate, the only option to wake up is to press the Power button.

ctrl-alt-del does not present the change password option.

That article links to a KB article for Windows 7 that says to press CRTL+ALT+DEL, but the issue is when you press CTRL+ALT+DEL in Windows 10, the option to change a password is not there.

 

Is there a setting to avoid the need to hit cntrl alt del to wake up the screen?

It used to be once the screen went to sleep, typing any key would wake it up. A few updates ago, this no longer worked and it has since required ctrl - alt- del and cancel to wake up the screen. Is there a way to fix this?
