Windows 10: Trying to sign into Microsoft Store, but keep on getting the message 'This account doesn't...

Hi there! I am a student and I am trying to get the new look for all my Microsoft apps. I went to Microsoft Store and found that I wasn't signed in when it kept asking me to pay apps that I already have downloaded. So that's what I did, or should I say tried to do. I have entered both my email addresses that I have tied to my account. For example: *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. Both of them have worked unsuccessfully. I would like to know what to do in order to sign in with either of these accounts.

Trying to switch to Microsoft account from local, unable to...

I tried that, more than once. I go thru the complete procedure of getting a new Microsoft account password, then when I reach the final step to key in the Windows password, I try my NEW Microsoft account password, and I get the same message-invalid password. No luck. Any other suggestions.

The error code that your are getting when adding an account is usually caused by the following:

• Your phone has an incorrect date and time set.
• You do not have a data connection.
• Your phone is in a "bad state."

There's a possibility that you are currently signed in on your computer using your local account. For us to sort this out, we suggest that you sign in with your Microsoft account instead. Follow these steps:

• Open Settings > Accounts > Your email and accounts.
• Select Sign in with a Microsoft account instead.
• Follow the on-screen instructions.

Once signed in with your Microsoft account on your computer, try signing into the Windows Store app.
