Windows 10: How to remove windows 11 password login but I also want to stay in the lockscreen not...

Hi can someone help me remove the password in the lockscreen, I already try to turn off the windows hello pin but it still asking me for my Microsoft password and I don't want to type my password everytime I open my laptop but at the same time I still want it to stop at the lockscreen I don't want it to automatically go in the desktop

Login option for windows 11 (and 10 before that) just not showing on the lockscreen

So I'm using both a PC and a laptop (HP zbook) with the same windows account. On my pc, I could easily setup a PIN and use that to login from the lockscreen. However, on my laptop it just doesn't work (first on Windows 10, now the same on Windows 11).

In settings > accounts > login options, I have setup Windows Hello (fingerprint & face recognition) and a PIN, and removed the password from the options. Whenever I need to verify anything like installing apps or running something as admin I get the option to use PIN, but on my lockscreen it still shows just my password and "forgot password?" underneath, no "other login options" or anything. I have tried a lot:

• Use a local account instead of Microsoft account
  
• Changed stuff around in the services.msc (set Credential Manager to automatic)
  
• Tried to turn off password entirely (still the same, nothing seemed to change)
  
• Delete PIN and create a new one (including removing the file from the Ngc folder)
  
• Rebooting... A lot
  

I saw an option for changing settings in the Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc), but this doesn't seem to exist on Windows 11 anymore, and the only tutorial I could find for getting it back involved some sketchy stuff like creating a .bat file to get a certain update and install that...
I also don't really have the space and resources to store all important files on another device and completely resetting my laptop (plus I feel like that wouldn't work anyway).

Is there anything I've overlooked or can someone help me with this? I just want to use my PIN to login from the lockscreen, it feels like it shouldn't be this difficult...

 

Remove Microsoft password entry on login.

Hello! I want to remove password entry on Windows login. In OOBE i chose local account, submitted an empty password, and loginned after the OOBE. I tried to reinstall Windows to solve this problem, but it stays. I need it to have NO password, verification or anything. After i enter password in this weird window, it suggests me to add a Windows Hello PIN. I close the window on this screen and get to the system. How do i fully remove password on login?

 

Password issue

After going through the steps to make a new password, after a week or two, my login credentials are no longer valid. I'm forced to make a new password all over again. It seems to happen if I don't login in a certain period of time. Does our passwords expire???
