Windows 10: Windows hello wont reset - I can’t login to my PC

Hi, 2 days ago I started having issues with my Windows Hello Windows Security. When I tried to auto-fill passwords in Chrome it would pop up but when I enter my pin it would just keep popping up, and freeze everything, so I had to end task for Chrome and try again. To fix this I tried to fix this as follows:1. toggled off “require Windows Hello” in Chrome settings - didn’t work because to confirm it requires a PIN and it won’t take my pin and just keep popping up indefinitely.2. Tried to change PIN in my windows settings I have Windows 11 Home - did not work because it would keep popping u

you answer the questions below?

• How are you setting the PIN and Hello?
• Which build version of Windows is your PC running on?
• Were there any error codes or messages?

In the meantime, we suggest that you follow the steps below on how to set up PIN.

• Open Settings.
• Select Accounts.
• Click Sign-in options.
• Click the Add button for the PIN and set your PIN.
• Do the same for the Windows Hello.

1. What is the error message you receive when you try to login to the PC?
   
2. Are you aware of any changes made to the PC prior to which you weren’t facing this issue?
   
3. Are you using a local account or a Microsoft account to login to the PC?
   

If you are using a Microsoft account then I would suggest you to try resetting the password of the PC and see if you are able to login. Refer the article

Note: The article talks about resetting the PC. It is not advised to reset the PC if you don’t have the backup of the data.



You can also try booting the PC into safe mode and see if you are able to login. Refer the article
