  1. Windows file explorer, drag and drop a file to a tab not working

In windows file explorer, when two different tabs are open, when a file is dragged to the inactive tab, that tab no longer activates to allow the file to be dropped there. This feature used to work on this computer, but it no longer does. It is still working on my other computer.I have tried SFC and DISM with different options and rebooting.

Unable to drag and drop in file explorer

If I open file explorer with the 'This PC' folder list expanded in the left pane and a folder open in the right pane I can't drag and drop a file or a folder from anywhere in the right pane to any folder in the left pane.

If I open a second instance of file explorer I can drag anything from any folder to any other location going from one instance to the other - it fails only when dragging withing one instance of file explorer. I can also drag from one place to another within
    the right pane.

Is this a design feature in Windows 10 (if so it is stupid - I used this feature all the time in previous windows versions). If not how do I solve the problem ?

  4. Windows file explorer, drag and drop a file to a tab not working

Drag & Drop from File Explorer Not working ( circle & line symbol ).

Its been a long time since i tried this, So i cant identify what I did to cause it .

Trying to drag multiple .sut ( brush files ) into Art-App it belongs. From the File Explorer window. Was able to do this many times in the past.

I noticed something ; when I use the search engine called
" Everything " from its window interface, if I call up the files in that window, then I'm able to drag and drop the files from that window, directly into the Art app. But cant do it from the File explorer window like I was able to do before.

    Windows 10 home basic.

One suggestion, I read in the windows 7 forum, there might be some registry change that happened. But I dont know about such things, just wanted to suggest a idea. Anyone can help ?
