Windows 10: Windows PIN recovery

Hello, I recently changed my Windows login PIN, as required periodically by my organization. Unfortunately, the following day, I forgot the new PIN and attempted to recover it using the verification code sent via SMS. However, the phone number registered is no longer active. I then requested to update the verification number, but as a result, my account was locked for 1 month. I urgently need to regain access to my Windows account, as I rely on it for both work and study. Could you please guide me on how to reset my PIN and recover access to my account? Thank you for your assistance.

Forgotten PIN and expired password

Thanks for your answer.

I tried steps of both links:

• #1: reset PIN code
  
  • I see no link "reset your PIN"on login page --> I can't reset it
    
• #2: change or reset windows password
  
  • My Windows account is not displayed at all on login page.
    
  • I am using a local account
    

If you have any other suggestion, I would be more than happy to try.

Have PIN for Windows 10 but need Windows password

Hi,

To set up a PIN on your Windows account, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Type the word pin in the search box and select
  Set up PIN sign-in.
  
• 
  Under the PIN section, click the
  Add button.
  
• 
  Enter the password for your user account, then click the
  OK button.
  
• 
  Follow the instructions on the screen.

Clear "Pin suggested" list in People Bar

Does anybody know how to clear the "Pin suggested" list on the "People bar"?

Contacts are added to the "Pin suggested" list once you've pinned and unpinned them. But there seems to be no obvious way to remove them from that list.

After playing around with this feature and pinning and unpinning many dummy contacts, it's rather annoying to see them in the "Pin suggested" list when you click on the "My People" icon in the taskbar.
