    Hello, I am dealing with a sudden issue of my entire PC crashing whenever I play ANY game, regardless of graphical fidelity. On one game was an indie title that came out in 2018 and another was a remaster of a 2005 game that came out in 2010. After about playing for five minutes for the 2018 game I get a green screen and have shut down the desktop manually, for the older one it just goes black and restarts by itself. I really don't know what could be causing this issue.

    PC crash to black screen

    The problem first occured when playing games. I was playing and the screen froze and green dots appeared everywhere in my screen. Now im stuck on a black screen. I redownloded windows as an attempt to fix it and it worked temporarily until i tried to update
    my graphics driver. Now stuck on the black screen once again. Any suggestions?

    Had the same problem and tried all kinds of updates and reinstalls. Finally I fixed it! Typed in Troubleshooting which brought me the control panel. Look to the left and you will see "view all" click on it. When you click view all you will see the whole troubleshooting list. Double click hardware and devices and run the trouble shooter. Mine said something about an out of date driver but ignore that and click next and it will continue to check for problems. It then found "failed to detect hardware changes" it then applied the fix. I am now finally playing videos without green or black screens.!
