  2. Urgent Assistance Needed: Remote Desktop Credential Issue

I am reaching out to seek urgent assistance with an issue I am facing while trying to connect to a remote desktop. Despite using the correct User ID and password, I am repeatedly encountering the following error message:

"The credentials that were used to connect to 10.2XXXXX.6 did not work. Please enter new credentials."

I can confirm with certainty that the credentials being used are correct. This issue has persisted despite numerous attempts to resolve it by following various troubleshooting steps available online. Here are the specific actions I have already taken:

    1. Credential Verification: I have double-checked the User ID and password to ensure they are correct.
    2. Remote Desktop Configuration:
      • I have confirmed that the remote desktop is set up correctly and is accessible.
      • I have ensured that the correct IP address (10.2XXXXX.6) is being used.
    3. Network and Firewall Settings:
      • I have verified that there are no network issues and that the remote desktop is accessible from the network.
      • I have checked firewall settings to ensure that they are not blocking the remote desktop connection.
    4. Credential Manager:
      • I have cleared and re-entered the credentials in the Windows Credential Manager.
    5. Remote Desktop Client:
      • I have tried connecting from different Remote Desktop clients on various devices.
    6. Operating System and Updates:
      • I have ensured that my operating system and all related software are up to date.
      • I have restarted both the local and remote machines to rule out any temporary glitches.
    7. Security Policies:
      • I have checked and adjusted security policies to ensure they are not interfering with the remote desktop connection.
Despite these efforts, the issue persists. This situation is causing significant disruption to my work, and I am in need of an urgent resolution.

Could you please provide detailed guidance or advanced troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue? If necessary, I am willing to provide additional details about my system configuration or perform any specific diagnostic steps you recommend.
