Windows 10: How to prevent Windws 11 installing keyboard layout I uninstalled multiple times?

I use both Slovak and English keyboard layouts English US and Slovak QWERTY in Windows 11. By default, Slovak uses the QWERTZ layout, so I had to uninstall it after installing Windows and install QWERTY. I am currently using Windows 11 Pro 24H2 26100.3775.However, it seems that Windows randomly reinstalls the QWERTZ layout without my consent. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?Also, when this option appears in task bar, I have to install QWERTZ first, so I can uninstall it under language setting in Settings - Time and language - Language and location naming might be different a

Custom Keyboard Layouts in Windows 11

A wonderful day everyone,

Previously I have used the Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator to create custom keyboard layouts, however not only is Windows 11 not listed as a supported operating system, but I cannot use the installed keyboards as they get shrugged off as "Unavailable input method" and are also unselectable as they break the taskbar language button in strange ways.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to how one can create a functioning keyboard layout for Windows 11? It'd be much appreciated.

Hello,
I have Windows 10 with English interface language and German keyboard layout (ENG-DE).
Periodically the ENG-US keyboard is added (The language bar appears again), even if the US layout it is not listed in the language options (???)
At this time I have to add manually the US layout, then remove it, now the language bar disappears again.

Any idea about? Can I prevent the US layout from bein installed?

This suggests to me that you are using the wrong "keyboard language" for your keyboard, and that therefore you first step would be to determine exactly what language keyboard you have. Possibly have a look at Windows Keyboard Layouts - Globalization | Microsoft Docs.

(The age of any laptop capable of running Windows 10 at all should not be a problem as regards keyboard layout)
