Windows 10: Certificate Loss with Windows 11 23H2 upgrade KB5055528 from Windows 10 22H2

The issue is that when upgrading Windows 10 22H2 devices to Windows 11 23H2. If the device has been getting patches for an unspecified amount of time One device was domain joined and managed for a year and the other device was domain joined and managed for two years. When that In-Place upgrade happens on those devices it will delete the computer certificate store. This makes it so the device is unable to authenticate against 802.1X and unable to connect to our VPN as it requires a valid computer certificate. Is there a 23H2 Enablement Package for Windows 10?

Hello! I have an HP Stream 7 tablet (Atom Z series CPU, 1GB RAM, 32GB internal storage) running Windows 10 32-bit 22H2 and I would like to upgrade that to 23H2. The problem is the free available space of the internal storage is hardly 7GB and it is almost impossible to reach the minimum required 10GB. Yes, I know I can use a USB flash drive as extra storage during the upgrade, but this doesn't cancel the stupid requirement of 10GB free space in C: To upgrade I must both have at least 10GB free space in C: AND use a USB flash drive for extra storage. Ridiculous! Please don't recommend to do a clean installation. The whole point of this thread is to AVOID a clean installation. I also have a PC running Windows 11 and I was able to switch from version 22H2 to 23H2 by installing a special update, the 23H2 Enablement Package (KB5027397). The requirement was to install all updates in 22H2 to reach at least build 22621.2506 and then I could install the Enablement Package to switch to 23H2 (build 22631.2506). So I wonder if there is a similar 23H2 Enablement Package for Windows 10. All Google results pointed to Windows 11 or much older updates such as the Enablement Package for Windows 10 build 1903 to build 1909. If you have a direct link, please reply! Many thanks!

 

Cant downgrade windows 11 from 23H2 to 22H2

Considering this was not an upgrade from 22H2 to 23H2, there's no official way to downgrade from Windows 11 23H2 to 22H2.

However, you may be able to perform a clean installation of Windows 22H2 by creating a bootable USB drive with the Windows 22H2 installation media. Before proceeding with the installation, make sure to back up all your important files and data, as a clean installation will erase all data on your computer.

Recently i upgraded from windows 10 to windows 11 23H2 but I need to have 22H2 installed. When I try to run the installation for 22H2 from my USB, after a while I get the error message "Windows 11 Installation has failed" and cannot install further. Is there anyway to fix this?
