Windows 10: How to verify without using Authenticator App

I have a staff member who does not have a smart phone. They cannot download the Authenticator App and now they are locked out of their work email.They get the option to 'verify another way' but then it takes them to the authenticator process anyway.What are the options for this person?Ann

You may follow this steps to add your linkedin from your authenticator app.

1. Install an authenticator app from your app store (such as Microsoft Authenticator).

2. Select the profile icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage and select Settings & Privacy.

3.Under the Sign-in & security, select Two-step verification to enable or change your two-step verification method.

4. Enable two-step verification and choose Authenticator App as your verification method. Select Continue and submit your LinkedIn password.

5. Open your authenticator app and tap Add Account or click the + icon at the top right corner. If this is your first time setting up an account on the app, you’ll be prompted to set up an account.

6. Select Other and use “LinkedIn” as the account name.

7. Enter the secret key provided by LinkedIn into the Authenticator App.

8. Enter the 6-digit verification code generated by your authenticator app to verify your device.

Why is Microsoft giving me an 8 digit Authentication PIN for Passkey

1. On the Google account security page, go to the Add more second steps to verify it's you section, choose the Set up from the Authenticator app section.
   

I'm running Windows11 , there isn't a Add more seconds steps to verify me section.
