    Getting "The Publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software"...


    I'm getting "The Publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software" on a batch file I created from scratch using Notepad++. The solutions I've seen only seem to be for downloaded files. I've looked under Properties -> Digital Signature but the screen is blank, and the Details buttons greyed out. Every user has full control. I've checked Internet Controls -> Local Intranet -> Sites -> Advanced and tried every possible IP address of my PC as a site. Nothing works.How can I eliminate this warning?Thanks in advance.

    Getting the message "You must unblock this publisher to run this software" when installing a Dell chipset software.

    Hi Armen,

    Windows is protecting your PC from unwanted software that can harm your device is the reason why you are getting this message: "You must unblock this publisher to run this software" when installing a software.

    To unblock the publisher, follow these steps:

    • Look for the software downloaded from a trusted website in the Downloads folder. Right-click on it.
    • Select Properties from the pop-up window.
    • In the General tab, look under Attributes and you will see an unchecked box that says
      Unblock.
    • Put a check on the box and close the window.
    • You should be able to install the file.

    This publisher has been blocked from running on software on your machine

    can get to the step of looking under the certificates. I click on publishers and then untrusted publishers and there is nothing listed there. I looked under "other people" and Samsung Electronics co., LTD is listed there, but nothing there to unblock
    publisher. So what do we do now?

    I get to the step of looking under the certificates, I click on publishers and then untrusted publishers and there is nothing listed there. I looked under "other people" and Samsung Electronics co., LTD is listed there, but nothing there to unblock publisher.
    So what do we do now?
