Windows 10: I reformatted my windows 11 PC fresh copy of windows now my device has disappeared?

Hi so prior before formatting my PC as i set up windows 11 with a Microsoft account i could see under devices my "PC name" and my motherboards serial number. and even showed under Microsoft store device my "PCS" name everything was fine.Now that i formatted my PC its all gone, and when i check my devices it seems its glitched i will provide screenshots. 1. MY device has been wiped when its clearly on the same device2. my PC name has gone from devices on Microsoft account website 3. under the Microsoft store device section my "PC" name is wiped. 4. when i go "unlink" im greeted with a error m

Fresh USB Windows 10 Install - Failing

I am trying to install a fresh copy (reformatted the hard disk) of windows 10 using a USB

• Created an installation media on a USB flash drive (Win 10 pro) from this page Download Windows 10
• Changed the boot order on the other PC so that it boots using USB
• Selected custom install
• Installing Windows goes through the following steps successfully: Copying Windows Files, Getting Files ready for installation, Installing features, Installing updates and before the last step (Finishing up), it restarts
• Then it goes back to the start of the installation steps

I am stuck and have read numerous posts but don't know what to do to install a fresh copy of Win 10.

 

Upgrading - need to reformat?

You really don't need to reformat. I've used the same copy of Windows through 3 different hardware setups. Although you should reformat to get rid of old drivers and such, plus there's nothing like the speed of a fresh windows install
