Windows 10: Unable to Reset Windows PIN at Login

I do not remember my PIN for my Windows laptop login screen. When I click "Forgot PIN", I get the screen that says "Something went wrong. Skip for now". When I choose skip for now, it takes me right back to the login screen waiting on me to enter in my PIN. I've tried restarting. I've tried restarting in Safe Mode, chose Safe Mode, and it takes me back to the login screen asking for a PIN. I have no other sign in options to choose from i.e., password, etc. available to me on the screen. Just my name and field to enter my PIN. What do I do?

Thanks for your answer.

I tried steps of both links:

• #1: reset PIN code
  
  • I see no link "reset your PIN"on login page --> I can't reset it
    
• #2: change or reset windows password
  
  • My Windows account is not displayed at all on login page.
    
  • I am using a local account
    

If you have any other suggestion, I would be more than happy to try.

Unable to login using The login PIN

Hi,

Thank you for contacting Microsoft community.

I suggest you to follow the below steps to change the pin and check fi it helps.

• In the login page next to “PIN password option”.
• You will find “Other sign in options”, click on it will prompt you for regular password.
• Enter regular password and login to the computer.
• I suggest you to click on the Start Menu
  and select settings.
• Now select Accounts.
• Next select the tab Sign-in option.
• Under the “PIN tab” click on “ADD” option.
• It will prompt you for current pin password and new password, please provide
  new password then apply the changes, restart
  the computer and check if it works.

PIN not accepting to login in windows...

welcome : What do you mean by Problem is that,.

"Even there is no option to enter the password"

So comfirm after, you try to type the PIN. You don't

see the option "Forgot my PIN" underneath the [Typing field]

but if you see the "I Forgot My PIN" option : Follow steps to reset it

To reset your PIN:

1. Open Settings.
   
2. Click Accounts.
   
3. Click Login Options.
   
4. In the PIN section, click I forgot my PIN.
   
5. Check your password and click OK.
   
6. On the next screen, create a new PIN and follow screen instructions
   
7. Restart your PC and verify that you can login with the new PIN
