Windows 10: How to fix over bright issue caused by AMD software update on windows 11.

Hi, I recently got an update called Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. - SoftwareComponent - 32.2410.0.0 for my windows 11. After this update my screen has become overly bright and washed out. When I start my laptop it is normal but just after few seconds it turns super bright. I tried display color calibration but still after few seconds it goes super bright. Please help me. My system is ASUS - TUF Gaming A16 16" 165Hz Gaming Laptop FHD-AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS with 16GB DDR5 Memory- Radeon RX7700S

Brightness issues

As per the description, I understand that you are experiencing issue with Brightness settings after upgrading to Windows 10 in the system.

There is a possibility that this issue might have occurred due to incompatible or corrupt display drivers or the brightness settings are not correct in the system.

I would suggest you to try the following methods and check if it helps.

Method 1:

To check for the brightness settings, please follow the steps given below and check if it helps.

  Press “Windows + C” keys on the keyboard.
  
• 
  In the search box, type
  Power Options.
  
• 
  Click on Power options, and under any plan, click
  Change plan settings.
  
• 
  Click Change advanced power settings.
  
• 
  In the list, expand Display, and then expand
  Enable adaptive brightness.
  
• 
  To turn adaptive brightness on or off when your computer is running on battery power, click
  On battery, and then, in the list, click On or
  Off.
  
• 
  To turn adaptive brightness on or off when your computer is plugged into an outlet, click
  Plugged in, and then, in the list, click On or
  Off.
  
• 
  Click Apply. Click
  OK.
  

If the issue persists, follow method 2

Method 2:

Step 1:
Update the Display driver.

Please follow the steps given below to update the display driver.

• 
  Press Windows key + X when you are at desktop.
  
• 
  Select Device Manager.
  
• 
  Expand Display adapters.
  
• 
  Right-click the display driver and click
  Update Driver Software.
  
• 
  Select Search Automatically for Updated Driver Software.
  

Step 2:

Check if there are any updates for display drivers available in Optional Updates; this might fix the issue. Refer to the following steps.

• 
  At the Start screen, type Windows Update.
  
• 
  Click or tap Settings on the right side of the screen, and then select Install optional updates from the left results.
  
• 
  When the Windows Update control panel opens, click on “Check for Updates” on the top left corner to receive a fresh list of updates.

Adaptive Brightness and Windows Updates issue in Windows 10 1903

We understand how difficult it is, when the device doesn't work in the way it should. We appreciate your effort for providing us the complete details of the PC and the issue you are facing. It seems that you are facing issue with
Windows Updates and the auto brightness of the PC.



In this scenario, we would suggest you to perform these method and check if that helps you to fix the issue.

Method 2: Troubleshoot Auto brightness.

Change brightness settings

1. Go into “Control Panel” search and select “Power Options”
   
2. Click the “Change plan settings” link next to whichever plan you are currently using and then click “Change advanced power settings”.
   
3. In this new window click “Display” to open up the listings under it.
   
4. Now locate and click each of the following…”Display brightness”, “Dimmed display brightness” and “Enable adaptive brightness”.
   
5. Change each of these to the settings you wish, then click the “Apply” button and finally the “OK” button.

Adaptive Brightness and Windows Updates issue in Windows 10 1903

There is no option for auto brightness in advance display. There is only one option for sleep Time.

And i tried many times for update troubleshoot.
