    Stop microsoft's nagware

I keep getting this nagware pop up when I'm in my browser duck duck go that says "location services are disabled make sure location settings are turned on and that apps can access your location in windows settings > privacy & security". I can click open settings or dismiss, but no matter what, it keeps coming back, again and again and again. I know I have location services disabled. I want them disabled. I don't want to turn them on. Nagging me again and again and again and again isn't going to change that. How do I kill this god damned pop up BS permanently?! I am so sick and tired o

    :)

    Windows 10 Upgrade NAGWARE

Am not interested in upgrading to Windows 10 - currently am running Windows 7. Have tried the suggested fix to eliminate NAGWARE - has returned. Other than moving to XUBUNTU - a far better and secure OS - any suggestions?

  3. Now that the Free Windows 10 "upgrade" period is over is the nagware gone?

I remember reading that Microsoft promised to stop the nagware they were using to push the Windows 10 updates once the free "upgrade" period was over.

Did they? Is it safe to resume installing Windows updates?

    Microsoft Edge has stopped woorking

    Hello,

There may be a number of reasons why suddenly Edge would stop working. The first troubleshooting step that we can try is to run the troubleshooter for Windows apps. Check out
this link for more information and download link for the troubleshooter.

If the above step won't work, we also suggest resetting Edge. For this, follow the steps below:

    • Close Microsoft Edge browser.
    • On the Cortana search bar, type Default App settings.
    • Click on Microsoft Edge (the list may not include Edge if your operating system is not on Creators Update.)
    • Under Microsoft Edge, click Advanced options.
    • Click the Reset button and confirm.
    • Restart your PC.
Note: Your PC must be updated to the latest version of Windows for this troubleshooter.

Let us know how it goes.
