Windows 10: Laptop Still Uses Built-in Mic Even When Earphones Are Plugged In

Originally, I was using the Realtek High Definition Audio driver with Waves MaxxAudio, but it had two major issues:Earphones TRRS were not detected properly- plugging in earphones didn't switch the audio output, and sound continued playing through the laptop speakers.The system continued to use the built-in laptop microphone, even when earphones with a mic were connected.Because of these issues, I uninstalled the Realtek HD driver and switched to the default "High Definition Audio Device" driver provided by Windows.With this driver: The first issue was resolved -Audio now switches correct

How to use laptops built in mic instead of earphone mic

Basically when I plug in my earphone, the laptop switches to the earphones mic and I want it to use the built in mic but there seems to be no way to change or switch between them and some solution states that I can switch between them at the control panel or smt but there's only a realtek option whcih is both the laptops mic and earphones mic(meaning if there's a earphone plugged it'll become a earphone mic and if no earphone it'll be laptops mic)

What happens when you plug in earphones that do not have a mic?

You can buy an external sound card quite cheaply that plugs into a USB port and outputs to your earphones. That probably would allow you to use the built-in mic.

I have the sound-blaster external sound card. But it doesn't sound as good as the laptop's internal sound card in my opinion.

 

How to use both built-in Microphone and earphones (Earphones do not have mic) at the same time?

Config: Acer F15 Laptop Windows 10.

My built in desktop Mic works perfect and so do earphones separately.

My earphones do not have mic so I want to use built in desktop mic while plugging my earphones but mic do not detect any sound..

My friend uses lenovo, and built in/desktop mic detects sound when I connect same earphones.(On windows 10)

How do I enable or use both at same time ? Couldn't find resolution on net.
