Windows 10: Uncertain Explorer results

Hi all,I know I am not dreaming but Windows 10 file explorer lists TWO separate locations for the Download folder.They are NOT always the same, or even representation of each other.Why is this?Secondly, obviously dependent on the above answer, downloads are channelled thru to the one listed under 'this pc', however I would prefer them to go to the one listed 'quick access'.Appreciate any guidance of clarification requests

Windows explorer search won't show any results. I've tried the 10 step method listed in the web search. no luck.

• Open the File Explorer and try to search for files.
• In the toolbar, open the View tab and click List
  to change the view.
• Once changed, close the File Explorer.
• Open the File Explorer again and try to search to see if the setting has been retained.

Cortana switched to Internet Explorer

When you say “tried uninstalling Internet Explorer”, how exactly you tried uninstalling it?

For your information, I like to share that Internet Explorer is an inbuilt browser in Windows operating system and you cannot uninstall it.



To check the Windows build, I suggest you to follow the step below.

• Press Windows key + R key, type winver and press
  Enter key.

Also, I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• 
  Type Default in the Search bar and select
  Default Programs from the list of search result.
  
• 
  Find and click on Reset option at the bottom of the page.
  
• 
  Restart the system and check if the issue is resolved.
