Windows 10: Windows 11 rejects many downloads how to allow. Previous answer of editing regedit failed...

Trying to download drivers. "Prod start ...this type of file can cause harm...Previous answer editing using regedit fails because I have no attachment to policy so I cannot modify it!!! Have tried to download a package recommended by Microsoft with this result! How to disable download checks for a website either temporarily or permanently.Help please

Windows 11 will not allow editing of previous search in explorer search box Answered.

Using the mouse to select a previous search and then trying to edit it is not possible while looking for a work around and not finding one other than a similar closed question with an answerer that did not help on this forum.

I found that using the arrow keys to select the search term instead of the mouse, Then allows you to edit the text in the search box in my case only needing to change the last letter of a long part number this has saved me a lot of time.

i did this that you posted and deleted after and it worked:
psexec -i -d -s c:\windows\regedit.exe

but the problem is still there *Frown

 

Windows update issue

Download the Windows 11 ISO as explained below:

1. After accessing the link I suggested in my previous answer, under "Download Windows 11 Disk Image (ISO)", click "Select download" and select "Windows 11 (multi-edition ISO)";

2. Click "Download";

3. Choose the language and click on "Confirm";

4. Then, click "64-bit Download".

5. Wait for the download to finish and continue with step 2 of the procedure I sent in my previous answer.
