Windows 10: Display scaling resets after closing the lid after Windows 24H2 upgrade

A few days ago, I upgraded my laptop to Windows 11 version 24H2 OS build 26100.3915. Since the update, I’ve noticed a recurring issue: every time I close the lid, my custom display scaling 125% appears to reset temporarily.The lid and power-button actions are set to “Do nothing” in all cases. However, when I close the lid and the screen blacks out, it seems that the system briefly reverts to the default scaling 100%. Then, when I reopen the lid, the scaling is visually restored to 125%—but all my open windows are distorted or improperly scaled, and their positions are scattered across th

I would suggest to try the following steps and check if it helps

• 
  Press the Win Key + X to display the
  system menu.
  
• 
  Select Control Panel.
  
• 
  Select Power Options.
  
• 
  On theleft side menu, select the Choose what closing the lid does option.
  
• 
  Look in the Power and sleep buttons and lid settings section.
  
• 
  Use the drop down menus in the
  When I close the lid section and select Do Nothing for both options.

I suggest you to follow the below steps to customize the display scaling and check if it helps.

• Right click on the open area on the Desktop.
• Select the Graphics properties.
• Click on Display option.
• Click on the General settings from the left pane.
• Under the Scaling click on the Customize
  Aspect Ratio and try to customize.
• Click on Apply.
• If you want to reset the display scaling settings then follow till the above 4th step.
• Then under the Scaling click on the Maintain Display Scaling.
• Click on Apply.
