    Playing DVD's and Audio CD's.

    Since upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 7, my PC had stopped playing audio CD's and DVD's. My computer does not seem to recognize the CD/DVD drive. Is this a know issue with Windows 10, if so, is a fix in the mill?

    Windows 10, CD/DVD does not auto play when inserted into drive

    I have an Inspiron 15 5559 notebook computer with a DVD RW drive running Windows 10 Home . The computer was bought last month and came with Windows 10. I have turned on Autoplay in Settings->Devices->Autoplay and in Control Panel->Autoplay->Audio CD.

    I have added no new software to the computer. I even did a factory image restore.

    When I inserted an audio CD into the drive, sometimes, it will play after a minute. Sometimes, it will play after 30 minutes. And most of the time it will not auto play at all.

    File Explorer does not show I have a CD in the DVDRW drive.

    Sometimes, if I click on This PC in File Explorer, File Explorer will immediately update and show I have an audio CD in the drive and starts to play it but sometimes even this does not do anything.

    When File Explorer does show I have an Audio CD in the drive, if I use the drive's door to eject the CD, File Explorer will continue to show I have an audio CD in the drive. If I use right-mouse click the DVDRW drive and select eject, File Explorer will
    update and show I have no disc in the drive.

    Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Is there a registry setting that controls how fast for the OS to detect a CD is inserted/rejected?

    optiarc dvdrw ad-7585h to play dvds on my acer aspire 7551-7422

    Can anybody help me get my optiarc dvdrw ad-7585h to play dvds on my acer aspire 7551-7422. its not listed in device manager as cd/dvd but is showing as disk drive. i had tech support reinstall windows 10 and it still doesnt work.it hasnt since i first upgraded
    to windows 10 over a year ago.doesnt microsoft know? or care.ive tried everything suggested by windows
