Windows 10: How can I merge two partitions on ssd which have a reserved partition between them?

I recently got a SSD to replace my HDD. However, the technician guy created two partitions on ssd with one labelled as C usd for OS and one as D. I followed this tutorial https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/how-to-merge-partitions-of-the-same-ssd-drive/2c85510d-ba16-462a-9423-d0d9053ccf6f and deleted the partition D using Disk Management which became the unallocated space after deleting image attached. However on clicking "extend volume" on C, there is a pop up message that there is no free space. I used AOMEI tool and found that there is a hidden 16 Mb Reserved Part

Cant merge Partitions

Hi folks,
i was trying to merge a partition to another one but i couldnt, it said i didnt have GPT or that i dont have enough space to extend it, does anyone know why? there is only 1 unallocated partition im trying to merge into another partition that has files, the idea is to keep the files intact. i tried deleting it then using the extend function but nada. pls help

 

How to completely reformat a disk with reserved partitions

I upgraded to win 10 on a new SSD, everything is working fine and I have copied the data I need from the old disk (its now drive E

E: has a D: partition - the old system reserved, no longer needed. E: also has a recovery partition which has no label.

I want to remove the 2 reserved partitions and combine them back into E: - and then reformat E:

Is there a simple list of steps to do this please?

If that is that 931,41GB partition, then I am sorry, that is completely empty . . .

If the recovery partition was to the left of that D drive, then MiniTool would have erased the D drive before merging the partitions, it is only the partition on the left that retains data in a merge operation . . .

You could try recovery software like the free version of EaseUS to see if that can recover data from that partition . .

To be honest, once that is done, your partitioning is a bit of a mess, on one drive you have your C drive and a partition marked as raw Data and on the other is the System Reserved partition, along with that D partition, and that system reserved partition should
be on the same drive as C.

Ideally, if that System Reserved partition was on the correct drive, then once you have succeeded or not in recovering your data the best option would be to re-initialize that drive with the D partition . .
