    Minecraft Network Protocol Error Report


    I've been playing on my brothers server, using Essential Mod. It had been working smoothly for a week, then suddenly I get disconnected and am greeted with this same error message every time I join. I see others have had a similar problem, but not exact. I'm using a wired connection to my home router, Firewall is not blocking minecraft, and I'm not using a VPN.     Error: One or more network protocols are missing on this computer

    Hi Suhail,

    We suggest you uninstall and reinstall the network adapter to fix this issue. Kindly follow the troubleshooting steps below:

    • Click Windows key + R.
    • Type devmgmt.msc, and hit Enter.
    • Navigate to Network adapters, and find your network adapter.
    • Right-click your network driver, and click Uninstall.
    Alternatively, you can reset the TCP/IP protocol by following the steps below:

    • Press Windows key + R.
    • Type netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt, and hit Enter.
    • Note: When you run this command, it'll rewrite your computer's registry keys used for TCP/IP settings. This achieves the same result as removing and reinstalling the protocol.
    • Reboot your PC.

    Homegroup For Minecraft Servers Or What?

    It looks as if the existing minecraft server will use the new system without modification - It needs to be able to access the computers on the network in a two way link, which is the standard for Workgroup and Homegroup

    There is a complete step by step available, if you have any issues ...

    It's not something I have any direct experience with but a quick read suggests to me that you will not need to do Much if any reconfiguration of the existing server
