Windows 10: Windows 11 Printer Driver Issues Godex G500 Business label printer

I do tech support for a chain of pawnshops. We use software called pawnmaster. We have many different types of printers. One type of printer we must use is the godex g500 for printing jewelry labels on rat tail label stock. The print must be centered vertically on the labels or else the inventory numbers are cut off. We were recently forced to upgrade to windows 11. Since then our godex g500 jewelry label printers print one extra line down. Now then. We have reinstalled the printer drivers. Reset all the defaults. We have purchased brand new printers of the same model. The problem p

To be sure that you followed my suggestion correctly, I will specify some steps: CP>devices and printers>add a printer>the printer that I want isn't listed>add a local printer with manual settings>define port>Windows update and install

- Go to the manufacturer's website from the link below and look for the model of your printer

- Click on the model of your printer and download the driver for Windows

- Install the drivers for the label printer and for the process to be completed

- Click on Start then select Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners to check if the label printer can now be seen from there

printer issues

Welcome to Microsoft Community and thank you for your interest in Windows.

• Is it a wired or wireless printer?
• Is the printer connected via network to your computer?

I suggest you to make printer as a default printer you can follow the below steps:

• Press Windows key+ X and select
  device manager.
• Select devices and printers
• Right click on the printer you want to use, and then click
  set as default printer (You'll see a check mark on the printer's icon signifying that it's now your default printer).

I suggest you to update the drivers for the printers and check if it helps.

I also recommend you to run the print troubleshooter to check the issue.
