    Auto-Brightness Option Missing After Clean Install Windows 11 Dev Channel 22621, Dell...


    After a clean installation of Windows 11 Insider Preview Dev Channel, Build 22621, the auto-brightness toggle has disappeared from Settings > System > Display. My Dell Latitude 7400 2-in-1 previously supported this feature, including adaptive brightness via the ambient light sensor.Solutions i've tried:Updated all drivers via Dell Command Update and Windows Update.Reinstalled Intel Graphics Driver v31.0.101.xxxx and "Monitor Brightness" drivers in Device Manager.Checked Power Options and BIOS settings no relevant toggle found.Ran the Windows Displ

    Leaving Dev Channel

    Release of 22H2 on Sep. doesn't help you to leave Dev channel since it will be build 22621 and current Dev channel build is 25188. You can't go backward in build numbers. Your only way out of Dev channel is clean install of released Windows version.

    This is explained in release announcement of every new Dev channel build.

    Build numbers are higher in the Dev Channel than the Windows 11 preview builds in the Beta and Release Preview Channels. You will not be able to switch from the Dev Channel to the Beta or Release Preview Channels without doing a clean install back to the released version of Windows 11 currently.

    Can't leave Dev channel after clean install

    Hello,

    I'm having a heck of a time leaving the dev channel. I also can't install the latest update to the insider preview of windows 11 so I'm stuck.

    - Did a complete clean install

    - Auto installed windows 11

    - followed the directions to get off of the dev channel (which recommends a clean install of windows)

    - Still can't switch off dev channel. See included pic.

    How to install release version of Windows 11 over dev channel prerelease

    hi there,

    If you want to move from the Dev. Channel to the other channels, you need to clean install Windows. The only option. Clean install means you lose everything. Please backup files and folders, as clean install removes everything.
