Windows 10: windows 11 putting things on my screen when lid is opened

Every time I open the lid now, there is a large image of a photo or screen shot of mine taking up the whole screen before I even get to the sign in screen. I have not touched any settings that I'm aware of that would do that. Where do I fix this please? Thanks

Laptop does not wake from sleep using mouse and keyboard when the lid is close, but can wake when the lid is open.

Hi, so followed all of the instructions and these are my experiences:

• I tried to close the lid and do what you've said like pointing the cursor to recycle bin and it works, after i did the folder was open. However, this is because when I close the lid my laptop still not in sleep mode. So i waited for it to sleep and see the light blinking then i tried clicking and there was no response.
  
• Then, I tried the clean boot. Step by step as per instructions but nothing works. Still experiencing the same problem. I'm really wondering why, now i connected the hdmi cable and working with the monitor "Second Screen Only". The laptop lid is open and everything is working properly, I close the lid and still working fine. I tried to put it asleep but the mouse or keyboard can't wake the screen. Then I tried the same set up, second screen only, then put it asleep while the lid is open. Touch the mouse and my laptop was wake immediately.

Do let us know the following to assist you better with this issue:

• Are you able to boot the device to desktop with black screen from sleep mode?
• From when are you facing this issue?
• Were you able to see any error code/ error message with this issue?

To answer your questions:

1. I am NOT able to get from the black screen after I have opened the lid.

2. I'm assuming that when the lid is closed this automatically puts the computer to sleep. I can hear noise in the background, but can not get the black screen to go away without shutting down and rebooting.

3. I did see an error code when this happened, but was unable to read it because I was logging off.

When I restarted the computer, my desktop would not function. IE when I tried clicking on my task bar, nothing would happen. I powered off the computer, turned it on and it came up.

But again, after I leave the computer (with lid down) for more than 15 minutes, the same problem is happening.

I read through some previous suggestions on here, someone suggested to disable sleep/hibernate mode. I did so, and now things seem to be working OK. My concern is, #1 the problem isn't truly fixed, and #2 Will keeping the computer from going into sleep
or hibernate mode cause issues?

 

Windows moves windows when laptop lid is open/closed.

I want Windows to stop moving windows back and forth when I open/close laptop lid. I have things where I want them and do not want Windows to anticipate what it thinks I need. The movements seem random and sometimes a window cannot be found on either screen.
Power setting for lid close is Do Nothing.

Suggestions appreciated.
