Windows 10: Windows 11 Efficiency Mode, How on Earth do I get rid of it completely

Hey everyone,I'm at my wit’s end with this so-called Efficiency Mode in Windows 11. Seriously, who thought it was a good idea to keep turning it back on without giving us a global toggle to disable it? Every time I run Brave browser to do anything mildly intensive even just using ChatGPT, Windows decides it’s time to throttle it down with Efficiency Mode. The result? Lag, stutter, and basic stuff acting like I’m running on a potato from 2003.When I first got this laptop, I thought my RAM was the problem. So I spent time and money upgrading it, only to find out later that it was this Efficien

Google Earth is not running in Windows 10.

Before assisting further, I would like to ask you few questions:

• Are you downloading Google Earth from Windows Store or browser?
• If browser, which browser are you using to download Google Earth?
• What is the message displayed on screen when downloading Google Earth?

I would suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the Google Earth in compatibility mode.
Follow the below steps:

1. Right click on the setup file and select Properties.

2. Select Compatibility tab.

3. Check Run this program in Compatibility mode.

4. Let the Google Earth install and then check the functionality.

Efficiency mode causing performance issue

Efficiency mode, previously known as Eco mode, in Windows 11 is designed to limit the resources an application can use to help improve energy efficiency and reduce the system's overall resource usage. However, for resource-intensive applications like AutoCAD Civil 3D, this mode can indeed cause performance issues.

Here are some steps you can take to manage Efficiency mode for your applications:

1. Power Plan Settings:
   
   • Go to 'Settings' > 'System' > 'Power & battery'.
     
   • Under 'Power mode', make sure it's set to 'Best performance'.
     
2. Graphics Settings:
   
   • Go to 'Settings' > 'System' > 'Display' > 'Graphics'.
     
   • Browse for the AutoCAD Civil 3D executable or add it if it's not listed.
     
   • Once added, click on the application and choose 'Options'.
     
   • Set the graphics preference to 'High performance'.
     
3. Registry Edit (Advanced, proceed with caution):
   
   • Press Win + R, type regedit, and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.
     
   • Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\PowerThrottling.
     
   • Here, you can create or modify a DWORD value named PowerThrottlingOff and set it to 1 to disable power throttling globally. This is not recommended as it affects the entire system and can lead to higher power consumption and heat generation.

How to permanently disable Windows 11 "efficiency mode"?

Thank you for the response.

That switch is (and has been) OFF, with ZERO effect.

This (anti) efficiency mode has DESTRYED any efficiency this new computer had.

My 10 year old Widows 10 computer is orders of magnitude more efficient than this new Windows 11 machine!
