  1. Output audio doesn't work possible issue with Realtek audio drivers

I have a MSI Cyborg 14 A13VF and I've been using an external audio interfacefor a while which works well. But when I decided to plug my headphones directly through the laptop it doesn't work, the internal speakers don't work either. yet the devices still show up in the settings. The troubleshooter says it may be a problem with the audio drivers possibly Realtek in that case so I downloaded the drivers from the MSI website, installed them but nothing works. So I deleted the driver in the device manager, restarted the PC, check all available updates including the graphic card but nothing changes

    :)

  2. Audio driver issue (realtek)

I have hp 15-bc008tx, windows 10 creators update.

As you all know it comes with b&o play which is the main culprit in my issue. I found an solution online( link at the bottom) which suggested me to remove realtek HD audio driver (default) and go with high definition audio driver from Microsoft and to uninstall
realtek from control panel. I did as said and audio worked fine for one reboot no issue whatsoever but from the next reeboot onwards though the driver is still high definition (Ms) issue came back. I repeated the steps ,again fine audio for one reboot and
messed up for next reboot. I guess even though realtek is uninstalled it's somehow loading in the subsequent reboot. Please help me changing driver everytime for a movie is not enjoyable.

  3. Realtek Audio drivers not working (Windows 11)

Nothing in that link is useful as I have already tried all of those, just worded differently in my original problem statement. One of the older solutions not listed that I just attempted was to reinstall Realtek by using the "add legacy hardware" option within device manager, however all that resulted in was an immediate BSOD. That outcome happened for every legacy hardware option I had available. And now I have an entirely expanded issue because of it. I originally wasn't sure if the BSOD may have been linked to incompatible Realtek drivers already installed, so I tried fully uninstalling Realtek by also uninstalling the separate Realtek audio input and audio output devices. And now when I try reinstalling the Realtek driver, it doesn't install the input and output devices at all. The main Realtek Audio driver still appears under the "sound, video, and game controllers" device, but now I'm completely missing the "audio inputs and outputs" device where the microphone and speaker drivers should be installed. And yes, I have tried downloading the Realtek driver directly from my computer manufacturer's website, this did not work.

  4. Output audio doesn't work possible issue with Realtek audio drivers

Latest Realtek HD Audio Driver Version [2]

I just built a new rig with a ASRock X470 Taichi motherboard and Win 10 64bit 1903. I downloaded the driver from my motherboard's site (Realtek high definition audio driver ver:8668_UAD_WHQL_DTS) and then ran the powershell script to detect the driver type.

Since I couldn't get more than 1 output, I also tried the latest driver in the 1st post (HDA DRIVER VERSION: 6.0.8716.1).

No matter what is plugged in, I only have 1 playback/output device.

    • I plug my speakers into rear panel = audio plays out the speakers and listed as Speakers (Realtek Audio)
    • I plug my headphones into front panel = audio plays out my headphones and listed as Speakers (Realtek Audio)
    • I plug my headphones into front panel and speakers into rear panel = audio plays out of front panel and listed as Speakers (Realtek Audio)

I used to be able to switch between front and rear when both were plugged in. Anyone have any suggestions?
