    IT ISN'T FILES, IT IS POSTS, E MAILS AND MORE THAT IT AUTOMATICALLY ERASES. IN OUTLOOK IT TAKES INBOX E MAILS AND PUTS THEM IN ARCHIVES THE MOMENT YOU CLICK ON THEM. OR IT JUST DELETES THEM. NOTICE HERE I CAN USE CAPITAL LETTERS AND IT LETS ME TYPE BUT OFTEN IT WILL JUST START ERASING EACH WORK GOING BACKWARDS. KEYBOARD HAS A PROBLEM WITH THE SCROLL KEY NOT WORKING BUT DON'T KNOW IF THAT IS PART OF THIS OR NOT. CAN YOU FIGURE OUT ANYWAY TO DISCOVER WHY IT IS DOING THIS? THIS IS A NEW COMPUTER AND OTHER THINGS WORK FINE BUT SOME THINGS I CAN'T OPEN TO LOOK AT EVEN.

    Finally! An alternative to eraser...

    it looks much cleaner then the eraser so that is a big step up.

    erase previous version of windows to create space

    Perform the steps to delete previous version of windows :-


    • In the search box on the taskbar, type settings, then choose it from the list of results.

    • Select System > Storage > This PC and then scroll down the list and choose Temporary file
    • Under Remove temporary files, select the Previous version of Windows check box and then choose Remove files.

    COMPUTER ERASING ANYTHING I TYPE

    "Erase this disk" option greyed out

    I use DVD+RW's on a daily basis -- writing, erasing, and rewriting. However, recently, the "erase this disk" option in File Explorer is greyed out.

    The first time it happened, having failed to find a solution online, I restored my C: partion, which fixed the problem, but is a bit heavy handed.

    It's happened again today. I can erase the disk using CDBurnerXP, but that's an extra step which I would like to avoid. It affects all disks, so it's not caused by a faulty disk.

    I would appreciate any suggestions for how "erase this disk" could be brought back to life.
