Windows 10: BSOD During Update to 24H2 from 23H2

I have tried multiple times to update my Dell desktop XPS8950 from Windows 11 23H2 to 24H2. The update proceeds for a while, but always results in a stop error blue screen before completing the update i.e., never gets back to booting to Windows. After restarting two or three times, it is able to undo the changes and successfully reverts to 23H2. The error message on the stop screen usually reads that the stop code is SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED, and what failed is FLTMGR.SYS.I have run the DISM check health and restore health processes, along with SFC /scannow. We have a customer who currently has the W11 22h2 in operation and would like to suspend 23h2 in order to switch to 24h2 in 2025. What is Microsoft's recommendation in this regard? Could the update from 22h2 to 24h2 be problematic?
