Windows 10: I have an application that cannot connect to the internet through ethernet or through one...

I have an application Windows store app, RadarScope that cannot see the internet when the computer is connected to ethernet or to my main wifi network. If I connect my computer to my wifi extender, the application can connect to the internet, and does so as soon as the extender is the primary internet connection. The connection remains live if I then reenable the ethernet connection. If I disconnect from that range extender, even with the ethernet connected, the application can no longer see the internet. Reconnecting the main wifi does not allow it to reconnect.So, this app cannot see the i

Thank you for your reply. My answers are interleaved with your questions.

• In which browser are you facing this issue e.g. Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer?

Multiple browsers: Chrome, Explorer, Firefox

• Do you get any error message?
  • In Chrome, I get "ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE" as the error message
• Have you installed all pending Windows updates?
  • Yes. It is continuously getting updated.

• Do you face connection fluctuation in Ethernet connection?
  • No. The internet connection is a solid 40Mb downlink. The same problem occurs when I'm hooked to a different internet service provider.

• Is the issue specific to any particular website?
  • No, it occurs when I'm accessing multiple web sites. It is not related to any web site.

I suggest you to try connecting to Ethernet connection and check if face same issue.

The problem occurs when I'm using wired ethernet, an internal wifi card, or an external wifi usb dongle.

Also install all pending Windows updates I.

I just checked it . It is up to date.

Further you can refer the link below and follow the troubleshooting steps suggested.

I'm not going to spend time on these other steps, since as I mentioned it occurs on multiple browsers, and it is not tied to Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge, unless you give me a good reason to do so.

  Does this issue occur only with Microsoft apps?
  
• 
  Are you able to browse any website while connected to internet?
  
• 
  Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? To check type:
  winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit
  Enter.
  

As you have mentioned that you are connected to internet with Ethernet via Windows VPN, I would suggest you
try disconnecting VPN and see if you are able to access the applications.

Changing internet type on a internet passthrough ethernet connection

You may try the following steps on your laptop and check if it works.

1. Open ‘Settings’ and choose ‘Network and Internet’.
   
2. Click on ‘Ethernet’ and tap ‘Properties’ for the network connection.
   
3. Set it to ‘Private’ and turn on ‘Make this PC discoverable’.
   
4. Close settings when finished.
